Yes, but only through a web browser. This is the finding app rather than the bit that allows the iPhone to be found. |

My thoughts on first hearing this - 'It prints the words "Its in your hand you idiot" on the screen...' Jon |

Why? Does the site that tells you where it is use Flash? ![]() |

Yes but what if you have lost a number and it shows all of them within the same sort of range but still no more accurate. |

I am sorry. I have seen the image ![]() Now what if you have lost all your devices, it does not look accurate enough to determine exactly where they may be. They may all be superimposed over each other particularly if you lost them all at home. Sorry I should have been clearer. ![]() |

Once you get to within range of the image in the photo you should be able to hear it ringing. I understood it to be a "did I leave my iPhone at work or at the pub?" kind of app. |

Lol that looks horribly accurate, I can only assume that's a GPS find, which won't work if the phone's indoors. I've just done a non-GPS location search on my phone, and it reported the location with an accuracy "to within 3100 metres" - in other words, useless. The centre of the circle was over a mile from the phone's true location. |

That really does depend where you are though. If you are in a large town/city it can be surprisingly accurate. I believe it uses known wi-fi networks as well as triangulation to approximate it's position?? |

It might but I doubt it. Google got rapped last time for picking up WiFi SSDs when going around with the streetview cameras in Germany IIRC, I don't think it would be appropriate. Google maps on my phone (depending on location and wifi/3g) can get my location usually within 50m, so the image isn't totally unrealistic on 3g, out in the sticks it's usually up to 1500m though which isnt very useful for this to say the least |
