I didn't have a problem about a year ago, when I wanted to borrow a largeish sum for business develompent. Rate very competative, quick to arrange. Did have a sound business model, a history (but not with them), and an asset as part colateral. |

Yes but you had collateral. Many have already put up their homes and have no more capital to put in. Banks are expecting higher rates now compared to a few years ago. 78% of all bank lending including business lending is linked to mortgages. |
