Many people would say Jobs has a candied view of the world, one where everyone loves iProducts and loves him. But has Schmidt gone one better?

At first galance he could have a point. They used the Nexus One to get a rather large foothold in the smartphone OS market. It worked.
But then you look deeper and realise that they got a 3rd party to make the phone, and that third party along with others is making better phones with more innovation without Google and reaping the rewards from it. People don't go into a shop and Ask for a Google phone, they ask for a HTC or a Nokia etc.
