I'm not surprised. Too many people got burned by the Wii and realised what often amounts to exercise with a crap game is only fun maybe twice... Also, Kinect's lack of buttons suggests frustration and crap games, and Sony's device looks like something from another time. I'm not even sure if it's a futuristic time either ![]() |

Kinect took the biggest problem with the wii (besides the graphics, the unwieldy 12-digit friend codes and lack of games) and made it worse. Now you don't even have a small stump of the implement you are pretending to use. What are you going to use in tennis games, a hair brush? I'm not that interested in Move either, although Killzone 3 may be fun to try...but not fun enough to warrant spending the money on the equipment. |

I presume you'd hold some mini racquet of sorts? That could be interesting with Kinect. If there's no controller as such you might (specualting) be able to hold the actual implement from the game. I like that idea. |

As long as you don't get a paperclip popping up at inopportune moments:

Microsoft have explicitly stated, you won't hold anything... ![]() |

It is capable of recognising that you're holding items though IIRC ![]() |

Thats what I was thinking. Not so much that you need to hold anything but you can if you want for added realism..... or something. With Wii (and I guess Move) you have to hold a controller. Kinect (if what I said above could actually happen) would allow more freedom in that respect. |

Or.... People already have a wii (and like it) for motion games and see no need to buy a whole new device to get teh same experience with better graphics. Maybe when the next generation of consoles comes out in five years or so Mircosoft will do much better out of this kind of device. |
