Both formats have advantages. A physical copy means that if anything goes wrong you still have the original to reinstall from, and you have a printed (small) manual rather than a PDF. But, the ones I've bought on Steam are good because they're automatically patched and you can backup the patched version so that if you need to restore the game you don't need to go through the rigmaorole of installing all the patches as well. |

I prefer physical copies over digital for all entertainment. Films, Music and Games. Lat night I was playing an old dos game on my imac only because I had the CD. I definitely could not do that for a download game. |

I like having physical copies of PS3 games - mainly because they can be sold on, but I prefer Steam on the PC because a) the disc is worth nothing after you have used it and b) it sorts out all of the patching for you. MGS4 used most of a dual-layer blu-ray...I'm not downloading something in the region of 50gb for a game...ever! |

Yes the fact that you can sell on the physical media has a huge benefit from the customers perspective. Download prices are not low enough to make me even consider it. Steam looks like a viable alternative though. |
