Quote:
Baby Peter's GP Dr Jerome Ikwueke has been found guilty of a serious breach of professional duty, the General Medical Council has ruled.

Peter Connelly, from north London, died aged 17 months in August 2007 after sustained abuse.

Dr Ikwueke told the GMC he had agonised over whether he could have done more to help him.

Peter's mother, her boyfriend and his brother were jailed last year for causing or allowing his death.

The GMC panel ruled Dr Ikwueke was guilty of a series of failings.

It said the crucial appointment was on July 26 - eight days before his death.

I sometimes wonder if this was because the doctor was black. White doctors do not seem to get prosecuted anywhere near as often.

Its stupid anyway. I'd like to know how they expect the GP to know he was getting beaten. kids get bruises and broken bones.

I getting sick of this bloodlust blame game society where everyone is 100% blamed for everything. mistakes are seeming rare nowadays.

The baby had broken lots of bones before which should have roused suspicions. The doctor should have considered brittle bone disease or abuse. Though who knows what his work load was? There are many factors we do not know.
