Yep. Since the rebel scum rebelled and put down "Jedi" as their religion last time, they know they're going to get stupid answers again in the future.

I think that it should be kept. It might make financial sense but it is a secondary check for all other data. The data is not just useful for government. It is handy for historians. It reveals things that are not recorded elsewhere.

Stupid answers are nothing. Hundreds of thousands refused to fill it during the poll tax years. It created problems all around. The census has far more uses than just a tally of population. Plus with the state of government records they really do need to make sure it is accurate.

IIRC, the results released included this kind of statement in the results:

There is more here, and it shows that our concerns about other databases being tied up and connected are not unfounded. A census can be done at any time, and a door to door form filling exercise is not necessary any more.
