It is actually very good that the police do actually try this. Getting rid of corrupt officials means that we can have more faith in the justice system and stops the rich being able to buy their way out of gaol time.

I haven't had much faith in the justice system for years - it's crap at every level :evil:

Probably why they are now doing things like this. There has been a sea change in the quality of civil servants compared to decades ago. It might be a result of the Thatcher me first attitude pervading society.
