Yes but when you consider that they are struggling to find sperm donors this might make up for the fact that do not get paid.

They're struggling to find sperm donors because they removed the right to donor anonymity. Since that point, any child possibly born due to sperm donation could at some point in the future demand your details and turn up on your doorstep, because you are still legally their biological parent. OK, you have no legal requirement for upkeep but it'd still be a bit of a shock.

All the fertility agencies told the government this would happen when they decided to change the laws but they went and did it anyway. Spending on facilities isn't going to do anything compared to that.

I think that the donor anonymity is a factor for some people, not for everyone.

LMFAO

The cost of stiffening donors to Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is just a fiver a year.

I think I'm moving counties, if I ever decided to jizz a baby into existence.

Circular breathing, for the continual blow.

I think it might be a factor for those people who stopped doing it when the law changed.

I personally think they should mix the samples together so no one can possibly tell without doing DNA analysis, which is expensive enough to put people off if they're just "a bit curious" plus you'd need to actually give a separate DNA sample, effectively "opting in".

I have no idea who my father was. All I need to do is ask my mum, but it's not important enough to me that I'd put her through the emotional trauma. All I know is that my family refer to him as little as possible and never kindly.

Many kids will have been conceived as a consequence of a one night stand during a marriage. There are many kids who do not really know that fact even now. They are brought up in blissful ignorance, invariably only the mother will know that the biological father is some one else. For those that have gone on to have a family and then some years later a sperm baby turns up can be a slight problem, but only if the new family fail to accept this aspect of a persons past.
