http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10910170Clearly not taking the losses seriously enough. It is interesting that the request came from a security firm. Clearly looking for potential business. Though with the size of the BBC it is not unexpected.

Yes but once they have collated that information by making it public they stop any company gaining commercial advantage from the information.
