Linux isn't bad. I think Linux gets bad press, even if that's just by word of mouth. People see it as a geek system, not for the mainstream, average consumers don't want to go outside their comfort zone, however a friend has recently found if you tell them it's an upgrade of Windows, which is called "Windows Ubuntu", and all their apps have been upgraded, they seem to take to it quite well
