2K has revealed that gamers who buy the Game Of The Year edition of Borderlands will gain access to an early demo of Duke Nukem Forever.

Those who buy the special edition will get membership to the Duke Nukem First Access Club.

These lucky pups will get a "wealth of goodies", apparently - including a key to a playable demo.

2K hasn't confirmed what those goodies will entail - but they've promised the demo will arrive 'prior to the retail launch of the game' next year.

Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition will be released on October 15 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in the UK - and three days earlier in North America.

It will include all four packs of the game's DLC: The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned; Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot; The Secret Armory of General Knoxx; and Claptrap's New Robot Revolution.

Duke Nukem Forever was reborn last month, when Gearbox announced it had finished development on the FPS.

Not enough to want to buy Borderlands a 3rd time. I have it on disc and bought it on Steam in the sale. A 3rd would just be a bit daft.

Duke Nukem Forever demo surprise for Steam users

While everyone else who wants to gain early access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo will have to purchase a copy of Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, Steam users who bought the original game appear to have gotten a surprise invite to the party.

Kotaku's posted some images of Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club codes that have appeared in the site's Borderlands CD key for Steam.

Publisher 2K said last Tuesday that gamers who buy Borderlands Game Of The Year - out this Friday - will gain access to a "wealth of goodies", including an early demo of Duke Nukem Forever.

The game and demo have yet to be given firm release dates, but the latter's promised to arrive "prior to the retail launch" of DNF next year.

Have you checked your account for a code, Steam players?

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford said last week that Duke Nukem Forever is packed with sex, swearing and violence - and "dances on the line of decency".

Just saw this: http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/pc/2010/ ... -hands-on/

Figured there'd be a thread here already

DN3D claimed a large slice of my twenties, and crapping in a mutant's neck hole pretty much made my decade. I for one can't wait to smear poop on walls.

*tries to remember Steam login - vaguely recalls a thread somewhere where I posted it*
