Fans have voted Naughty Dog's Uncharted 2 as the greatest PlayStation game ever in an Official PlayStation Magazine poll.

The poll was carried out to celebrate the 50th issue of OPM as well as the 15th anniversary of the first Sony PlayStation console in the UK.

Uncharted 2 just barely beat Konami's PS1 classic Metal Gear Solid for the top spot. RPG behemoth Final Fantasy VII came in third place followed by Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto Vice City.

I'd like a vote for Gran Turismo 2. The graphics for the time were amazing, gameplay was excellent, the cars... OMG the cars. Even better still if you had a Bleem disc, Dreamcast and VGA cable.

Also FFVII was the first FF game I really played. For that reason it will always stick with me. The thing is though it wasnt the best one, not by a long shot. FFIX was a better game on PS. No one seems to remember this one though. I guess FFVII has all the nostalgia.

That's what turned me onto the playstation, that and Tomb Raider. I would say they are the best ever PS1 games (oh and RE), I don't think it's particularly fair to compare across generations of the platform.

UC and UC2 are bar far the best games ever for the PS3. Not only graphically but they're so well written they made me laugh out loud which is a very rare thing in gaming.

For me it is both of the Uncharted games and MGS4. They're epic and arguably head & shoulders above anything on any console.
