Any suggestions? Thinking of a driving game, any opinions on GT5 and/or Shift 2 Unleashed? Oh, any ideas on a cheapo wheel appreciated. I haven't the room for the full car body and doors set up in my living room unfortunately.

I love GT5. It's the game that'll finally make me save for a PS3.

I tried GT5. I really wanted to be astounded and impressed by it. I wasn't. I was so, so disappointed. Despite promises of graphics being astounded, they weren't.
Having said that, as a realistic driving sim, it's okay. I'm more of an arcade racer. Didn't really enjoy NFS:Undercover. Juiced 2 was okay but it felt like a NFS knock-off. Blur is supposed to be good, as is Burnout.

F1 2010 and a logitec GT wheel, pedal set....
Racing Driver 'GRID' is still one of the best PS3 all round driving games imo and its budget price

Thanks for the pointers lads, a couple there I'd not considered. Over a hundred frickin quid Don't tempt me, really, don't. ... Just wondering now how that would all fit with my gaming chair....

Logitech Driving Force GT is £76.49 at Argos and it's the minimum I'd recommend. I've used cheaper wheels before and they're just not very good at all. Even the similar priced Xbox alternative (MS Official Wheel) was awful for me in Forza. ClickyI can vouch for GT5 being 100% amazing with a good wheel. The car control is astounding. Turn all assists off and ....OMG. The game itself though can be a little stale and apart from the high resolution and premium cars the graphics are suprisingly dull. Shift 2 is has more of the fun factor once I found a proper setup for the wheel. I havent mastered drifting yet mind you (might need the joypad for this!).

Thanks for the link, will have to think on that. Not a big car player, actually not played one since GT4. Really? Damn, that's disappointing.

Oh dear, doesn't really look any different to GT4 on the PS2.

If you fancy straying from tarmac, the Motorstorm series is excellent.

I've always fancied Motorstorm. The new one looks excellent (if a bit more about the set pieces than the racing)

Oooh, I'll google some gameplay vids and give it a look cheers. Edit: Just found Motorstorm Apocalypse gameplay. Looks like it's the end of the world, you've found a fast car and you're just pegging it. Looks quite fun TBH.

Did you look at Racing Driver "GRID" Dan? you can pick it up dirt cheap now and imo it's still a good racer.

Yes, I had this for my PC and it was VERY nice! ALso F1 2011 is coming out in September. (Although that's a long wait).

Haven't had a look at the mo TBH mate, been trying to get through a few PC games so I can get Witcher 2 on the go. Time seems to have disappeared. The way my time is disappearing at the moment September will probably turn up tomorrow. Will give it a look, when I can make some time. Cheers lads.
