I didn't even know if that game would be any good or not, I just knew I could take it back if it wasn't... I had never played anything like it before, and it still stands up today

And taking a peek at http://www.rockstargames.com/ suggests GTA V is around the corner...

I hope it's more arcadey and less "realistic" than the last one. It drove me nuts!

I just have not got on with the latest one, seems to be a step backwards if you ask me.

I could be doing without so much seriousness too.

I played the first GTA, which was fun - almost arcadey. The next one I played was GTA:VC - loved the 80s theme and style of the game. GTA:SA - had more detail, which was great. Loved the rap music. Some of it was silly like having to go to the gym etc! But it still remained fun. GTA4 just sucked balls - far too serious and the attempt at "realism" drove me nuts. Sometimes it was so dark and dim, I couldn't see what was going on!

I'd like to buck the trend and say GTA IV is brilliant.

I still play GTA 3 to this day, I think I actually prefer it to VC.

I think GTAIV is excellent. I think they'll stick to realism for V to be honest as Saints Row does the 'cartoon GTA'.
