It's more like the free "classic" desktop version. To my mind, more a proof of concept than a fully grown game.
I played the Android version for a bit, but the maps are small and there's no caverns when you dig down. As Jon said, there's also no mobs. It does have a multi-player mode, but it's only p2p with other mobiles.
It does prove that game is playable on a touch-screen though; the interface is actually quite good and the graphics silky smooth (in a Lego kinda way).
