Not sure how many of you run into problems when gaming online.

Have played MW2 and BLOPS on PS3. Sometimes I do really crap and get called names for being crap. I can then do really well and get called a camper/cheater/booster etc, which I just take on the chin.

Last night, got called a lagswitcher and then told I was reported for it! This is despite me having something like 29:7 or similar.

Some people can just be w*nkers but WTF is lagswitching, can it be detected (ie can I be proven innocent), and do I need to worry about anything? Or do I assume Sony is Sony, and can just get on with my gaming?

New one on me, but I did get called a camper once for being the only person in a room when the radar indicated two enemies walking in  , CoD is especially crammed with retards...

I've reported people before for messaging me with abuse cos I was messing about when there was absolutely no chance of us winning a round (I normally place top 3 these days to give you an idea), but I've no idea what Sony does about it.

In a nutshell a lag switch allows you to pause the game (your character appears frozen to others in the game) and you continue to play locally killing everyone. Turn the lag switch off, game resynchs and you "win".

I still don't get a) why people cheat and b) why people get accused of cheating simply for being good.

Just add it to the list of reasons why I don't play MW anymore!

Not heard that before.

It's bollox isn't it, on occasions that I got on a mental killing spree in MW2 I got similar things thrown at me. They chose to ignore several complete noob deaths before hand.

I'll be throwing myself back in that soon, got a new gpu and BF3 on the way and MW3 is on the christmas list. Bring on the abuse. :D

It's just completely crap. Towards the end of BLOPS, I was quite good. MW3 has jacked the pace of the game up, so everything is much more hurried. Still only at level 72 or something whilst others have prestiged 2-3 times.

I use stalker pro which delays claymores etc as I was sick to death of getting blown up by them in MW2 and BLOPS, and I wondered whether it was because of that.

I've only been hassled once for having incorrect rates (or something along those lines). I didn't have a clue what the hell they were talking about, so just continued anyway with the knowledge that they couldn't be set to anything other than default settings.
