Sadly, initial optimism maybe unfounded. It appears a Sony rep had acquired control of the account and it was a rather obtuse way of telling people that the game's servers would not be switched off so multiplayer games & leader boards would still be available, for the forseeable future at least. Which is nice, but not quite what people are hoping for.
