In other words it's still a game a year but you'll have to wait if you've got a favourite developer or whatever. The yearly cycle is what's killing CoD.

I can't imagine it'll make any difference; where are they really going to take the stories? Unless they can create something that truly scares parents and runs quickly, it's been strip-mined already.

And what are the chances that they'll bother their arse to make sure the game works before release?

I can't see this being any use. The problem with the CoD series is that they've been using the same engine for the last five years so what you get is a rehash of the same game. I've long been bored with to the point where I've not touched CoD in the last two months or so.

What did you make of Ghosts' MP?

It's the only MP in the series I haven't tried, and the last two were shocking, a crap attempt at returning to MW1's playing style after big open maps in MW2 and BLOPs. Way too many choke points and camping spots, all you were continually doing was rounding corners after coming out of a narrow corridor.

I thought Ghosts was using a new engine? At least that's what I remember from the reviews.

Either way, the last CoD I bought at launch was MW2 - the rest have been bargain bin purchases, thankfully, so I didn't feel too cheated when they turned out to be rehashed crap.

Never played MW1. I started at MW2. Ghosts felt different in some respects. The maps are larger and in some cases feel huge. My usual strategy has always been run'n'gun. Can't really do that as much. I have to think a little more. I have to plan a little. There are times when I've sat at a corner of a building before I go out to shoot.

This could have been awesome but it's marred by some crap stuff like glitches/lag esp when there's heavy firefights. It's easier to camp and more difficult to spot campers or to shoot them.

I found it more challenging than any other of the MP games.

Hmm, they're getting experimental. They're gonna have to since Ghosts didn't do the numbers expected.

Ghosts is pretty crap all round. There's the usual recycling going on, but now they're lifting entire scenes from previous games

The MP's pointless, there's no skill required whatsoever, I was coming second in the rankings no matter what loadout or map I was on. And I'd only started playing it! You just run around in circles until someone shows up, and the maps look unfinished ffs.
