Super Mario, Doom among first inducted to World Video Game Hall of Fame | GamesRadar http://www.gamesradar.com/super-mario-d ... hall-fame/Original Tomb Raider, Worms, Gran Turismo, Resi 2, the WWF Smackdown games (whichever your fave is), Arkham Asylum, Die Hard Trilogy, whichever Streets of Rage, whichever Mortal Kombat, whichever Age of Empire, whichever GTA (except the most recent ones, incredibly overrated IMO!), the early CoDs...

Those two I can understand. Doom was phenomenal for its time. Tetris and Pong also of historical importance (in gaming). | | | | pcernie wrote: Original Tomb Raider, Worms, Gran Turismo, Resi 2, the WWF Smackdown games (whichever your fave is), Arkham Asylum, Die Hard Trilogy, whichever Streets of Rage, whichever Mortal Kombat, whichever Age of Empire, whichever GTA (except the most recent ones, incredibly overrated IMO!), the early CoDs... | | | | |
Tomb Raider - again, for it's time was great with graphics and gameplay. Worms - I loved GT - not bothered WWF - never played Arkham Asylum - agreed Die Hard, Streets, MK, AoE - never played the games GTA - yeah but which one? This could easily break down into category eg beat'em up, platform, etc

Aw man, Die Hard Trilogy is worth playing just for the old-skool reticle shooting - there's three selectable level styles
1. Third person shooter, Die Hard 2. Reticle shooter, Die Hard 2 3. Crazy Taxi-style driving, Die Hard 3
Needless to say the graphics will look appalling, but it's probably £2 delivered on eBay and will run on your PS3. Similar for the PS3 Megadrive collection and whichever disc it is that gives you the MK games. Don't buy the POS PSN trilogy!
AoE was great even on the NDS!

Gran Turismo definitely deserves a place there.
Surprised there's no mention of any of the Civilisation games in that list either.

Or the Portal series for that matter. It does seem a rather arbitrary list.

+1 for Civ. Also no mention of Command and Conquer, Warcraft/StarCraft
