PlayStation Network maintenance has been scheduled for April 15.

It will run from 2pm BST next Monday until 5am on Tuesday April 16, with the following services unavailable for the duration:

PS Store
Account Management
Account Registration
Transactions via the console
sonyentertainmentnetwork.com website

Sony says users will still be able to sign into their PSN account provided they have previously done so in the five days prior to the maintenance.

Additionally, users who are already signed into their account when the maintenance commences should be able to stay connected and not lose their online session.

That would be my preference as well. What intrigued me was that multiplayer games scored so low. I thought that was the reason for always on games because of multiplayer options. Well seems like I am not alone.

PS4 playable at shows in August

E3 and Gamestop are both in America, but there's the Eurogamer Expo in London in September and the Play Expo in Manchester in early October..

Just posted that in the news thread

Do you reckon we'll actually see the machine itself or will you just be handed a joypad that snakes off mysteriously? ;)

Just posted in the news thread  I reckon the PS4 will get a'full reveal' at E3, in which case there's no reason not to have it on show at those two. If they plan to have it on sale in any numbers anywhere in the world before Christmas, they'll certainly have 'final' units to send to shows around the world by September. Quite whether they'll let the grubby public have a play on them I'm not so sure, but they'll certainly be showing them off at the Eurogamer Expo if not the other one as well.

That's going to screw an awful lot of online services up I'd imagine. Although taking a year to fix it is a very poor show.
