I think not only is GTAIV the first GTA I will complete (eventually) but its the first one since the 2D games that I actually play properly.

Last game that I bought and completed was Delta Force: Task Force Dagger.
The last game I enjoyed was Gran Turismo 4.

I've completed a lot of main stories, but I usually give up on the "collect a hundred nearly invisible things for little reward" missions. GTA4 I completed, along with The Lost & the Damned, but BoGT bored me and so did shooting all of those pigeons.
Red Dead Redemption I've nearly done and Infamous I've completed as a good guy but struggling to finish it as an evil dude.
Must go back to Riddick Dark Athena at some point too.

I found GTA4 to be less fun and involving. I wonder if it's because they've tried to make it more "realistic". VC was certainly a lot of fun. SA started taking it a bit too serious with the gym/running etc which put me off but I still went for 100% completion (although it was 99% since I cheated).
