Cooooool Now, for the life of me I can't remember what happened in the first. Hey ho, I'll just have to start it up again before DS2 comes out.

 | | | | Quote: Dead Space creator Visceral has promised fans that it won't over-stretch the franchise with spin-offs and brand extensions.
The firm is readying Dead Space 2 for release on PS3, 360 and PC next year through EA.
It was announced at E3 that a port of Wii on-rails shooter Dead Space: Extraction will be bundled with the PS3 version.
However, speaking to CVG in a new interview, Visceral executive producer Steve Papoutsis said:
"We'd love to make 100,000 Dead Spaces. I'll tell you that. That would be awesome. But, you know, in reality, the last thing we want to do is dilute our franchise.
"We don't want to put games out there that people aren't anticipating and don't want. Again, we're focused on making Dead Space 2 as great as it can be.
"If the community wants another one, we'll definitely be excited to do it. But right now, it's all about Dead Space 2."

The first Dead Space is a really good game. Looking forward to the second but I have enough games to keep me going for now.

Same here. Really looking forward to this but what with just getting stuck into Red Dead Redepmtion and with AC Brotherhood, ME2 and GTAIV Episodes I have enough to be going on with. As there weren't any truly appealing special versions out I'll hang back until the price drops. Oh yeah, I have DAO2 Signature Edition, Crysis 2 Limited Edition and The Witcher 2 Premium Edition on pre-order (2 for March and 1 for May, best get my skates on!). Fairly good prices, voucher codes and christmas cheer saw me breaking my golden rule of not paying over £15 for a game.

Played a couple minutes of the demo - it looks pretty - and definately has a lot of atmosphere - but I can never get to grips with 3rd person FPSs (we've Lost Planet 2 on the PS3 and I've played it once!) so I just can't see myself enjoying it.

Saw this earlier and was tempted. Anyone got any feedback? It's this or Crysis 2, and I'm leaning towards the latter...

From what I've read, the Crysis 2 first impressions were mediocre at best, where DS 2 is pretty much guaranteed to be good - both have demos by the way

Mine tunred up yesteday but I'm in DAO2 land at the mo so it'll be a while. I was going to get DS2 on pre-order but there were no extras I wanted so I went for C2 Limted Edition. If it was an out and out choice on a level playing field I would have gone for DS2 though. Ern, who is not Ern, have you found DS2 for under a tenner yet my fellow tight git?

I missed out on a deadspace 2 download key for £8, by seconds! Someone ninja'd me on the bit-tech forums.
