I've played it through four times now. I was wondering what the DLCs are like... Still need to play Mass Effect 3 yet.

Karateka, PSN - Utterly rubbish, run along pre-determined path, have a button dance-off with thugs, repeat. There isn't even dialogue from what I saw

Agree on the MGR:R demo, looks amazing but the mechanics don't suit the speed of the gameplay. You'd need to be a masochist to play that game...

I must confess a liking for Sid Meiers Railroads. An old game but it is available on the Mac App store for a low price. I played it for hours last night.

Got that too. PLay it from time to time but Cities In Motion has become my go to transport game. Was on sale recently for £11 with all the DLC on Steam.

Aliens: Colonial Marines - it's as bad as you've probably read... the last AvP game is actually better. It's biggest crime is that it's actually dull (played it for hours, didn't even bother finishing it). There's never any sense of real danger since you've always fully kitted out, and levelling up your weapons is almost pointless the enemies take so few rounds to kill. Speaking of the enemies... the aliens sit there waiting for you to get close enough, and sometimes two steps away, I kid you not. Or they jump out in front of you so you're obliged to melee them; makes no difference, they're slow-ass either way. Look like ass n'all The graphics are Nintendo Wii, none of the weapons feel right, and there's some ill-thought out moments like getting stuck on scenery and not being able to go anywhere without almost a full patrol backing you up! I wouldn't even suggest dropping a fiver on this tbh

Oh, dear. A wasted opportunity then. I expect the game is pretty much a marker for the end of the franchise.

Shockingly, Access TV or whatever that PSN video is called is saying it's great! I thought they'd have more sense than that tbh, either that or they haven't actually played it. Which is even worse.

Honestly, I've always thought that an Alien game would be better off taking a survival horror direction. Imagine something like Amnesia: Dark Descent set on the Nostromo. IMO it'd be a ton better than this crap, even though that game scares the hell out of me

I agree. Even if they got everything spot-on with an Aliens game now it'll just be old hat it's been seen that many times.
