In all honesty, I'm tempted to make a new character. I'd much prefer to be heavily armoured and powerful than sneaky. I think this was my attempted to do something different.

Ah, just thought also.

You can't wear chainmail as a rogue. I thought that was a bit odd.

The heaviest armour you can wear as a rogue (at your level) is leather.

Awesome. Come find me in Aggramar or whatever the realm is called if you can. I've created a new warrior character called cloakedwolf. My rogue class was level 10 I think and it wanted me to pick specialisations.

Tried finding you on that server with that name and I get "player not found" meaning it doesn't exist. You sure that's the right server?

I wonder if it was because my new character was still in the starting place and may have been "protected". Am now lvl 6-7 and in and around dolonaar.

Hmmm... Strange. Is it anything to do with the fact that my WoW is the starter edition?
Search for both of my characters - omens and cloakedwolf. Are they both unavailable?

It's possible they keep the starter edition population segregated from the rest of the community, yes. Easiest way to manage the restrictions the starter edition accounts have. Although the FAQ doesn't specifically say so. Only way to be sure is to try to meet up I suppose..

Just tried both and both are unavailable according to it.
I've had people on starter edition come up but I dunno why it won't work today.

Looks like we can't play together unless I buy a proper version of WoW and/or I'm within 10 lvls of you.

You can play outside of 10 lvls but one of you won't gain any xp for doing it.

Also, there's nothing to stop you hanging out not in a group

But yeah, the starter game thing will stop you probably.

Am currently still in Teldrassil. What surprises me is that I've found more quests as a warrior than as a rogue. Went to drop some stuff off to this guy who then wanted me to collect some seeds and such. I never got this as a rogue and once I'd completed the missions in Dolanaar, I headed to the next island. Today, I've gone to plant some seeds and was asked to head elsewhere and along the way found two more quests. These are from just passing by rather than specifically being asked to go somewhere.

I was about to shell out for an add-on but TBH I'm getting a bit bored. It's like a long, drawn out RPG that's never gonna end and I still feel I'm right at the bottom (lvl 9 at the mo).
