Now that's a bit more like it!

Batman: Arkham Origins multiplayer beta footage released

Nothing there suggests you'd bother with that for very long, like most MP. And that Alfred's as dire as his script!

Batman Arkham Origins season pass offers an 'all new story campaign'

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/43 ... -campaign/

It'd need to be seriously long for £16 - nobody in their right mind thinks skins are really worth anything.

Wii U Batman Arkham Origins is cheapest console version

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/43 ... e-version/

I'm starting to suspect this game is simply a cash grab; the videos so far have all been texture-light, Amazon are offering it for £30 with free 1st class delivery and now this. Nobody in their right mind will give a crap about the MP within two weeks at most.

They really should give you the option of paying for MP separately on digital downloads at least; they'd know not to fcuking bother in future lol.

Started playing this today - so far there's nothing new, though I like that it's using indoor locations more than City. The cutscenes are the best yet, but unless it's my imagination, the fighting isn't as responsive as it was before :? :|

It's got an awful habit of playing background noises and giving you screen info when characters are talking too...

The TV trailer didn't look massively impressive. I'm gonna hold off until I've completed GTA and maybe picked up the new CoD though I'm still unsure about it.

I haven't been playing it long, but there's less sense of it building up to a plot than even the other two.

It takes the exact same path of gradually getting 'new' weapons (they're all much the same as before so far). The only thing slightly new is investigating crime scenes, and it's more 'a bit of polish' than anything else.

I'm hoping to hell the boss fights aren't all as bad as one of 'em - had to Google it, and even then my hands were killing me by the time I'd won.

This game makes me think they're gonna seriously need to step things up a gear next time - pick any element from the previous games and it appears here. It's OK, but you might as well wait until it's £15 (probably won't be long either).

Oh, and it might just be my system, but crippling slowdown happens far too often

Yeah I've read about how Arkham Origins is basically just a hashed version of bits from the first two games but a little more crap in terms of execution and rendering. Certainly, if Rocksteady had done this, it would have stepped up a notch or two. I'm kinda waiting for the full-on Batman experience where you run around a proper city with a population rather than a cut down, controlled version which is what happened in Arkham City.

In some ways, I wish Rocksteady had produced the third game as a final installment rather than what's happening with annual releases. It's just gonna get crap.

Finished the main story. Again, it's just a rehash of things you've seen before really. You know what the characters will say in the main. Might collect the items scattered about the levels since I've got most of them anyway.

Collected most of the items (Riddler trophies are a waste of time in terms of story reward after bothering to collect 'em all), must check the stats for what's left and what I've unlocked.

ION, Tesco have possibly sent me the game without charging me for it...

I got my recent CC bill and they weren't on it, so I need to see if they charged me when I ordered it (most companies don't in my experience, and they told me the order had been cancelled)...

Arkham Origins collector edition will be on offer on Amazon's Black Friday sale. Worth the buy?
