I do not play that game so would not know. I assumed that it was similar to WOW where you gain objects through missions. If these are simply another way of allowing players to customise their avatar etc then it will probably have little take up generally.

With Activision it's past the barrel and more like 'selling the alcoholic puke'...

But DLC will allow them to fund the fixing the game. Though unless the game is improved will people buy DLC?

That company isn't short of cash ;)

And kids alone eat up the DLC. Though it's reign is slowly but surely coming to an end unless they can turn things around either with November's release or the next-gen. Sales figures are being spun wildly and the RRP doesn't hold as long. It's amazing it's lasted this long tbf.

I can see the merit of DLC and am quite happy to do so myself. The developers need to keep the games fresh and DLC can do that. If they are still selling DLC easily then they can quietly develop a new game possibly using the same physics engine to come up with a whole new game and start a new franchise. If there are too many ultra realistic modern combats then they start to overwhelm the public.

I think the new BLOPS 2 map packs are out on PS3 today. Friends are struggling to get online to sign in. Will try and download them tomorrow.
