Don't get your hopes up if you're pining for an HD remake of Halo: Combat Evolved or another old Xbox favourite.
Microsoft says it isn't averse to releasing HD updates of past titles, but it isn't spending a lot of time thinking about the possibility.
"I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea," Microsoft Game Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer told IGN. "I'm going to think about it from the customer's perspective, and are we really delivering something of value to the customer at a price that they want?
"We obviously have a lot of new things going on, so the thought of re-doing a bunch of things is probably difficult to just weave into the overall portfolio," he added. "If you can provide real value to the customer, there could be possibilities for that, but I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it."
Sony has opted to release a number of HD remakes of PS2 title for PS3, including the first two God of War games and the upcoming Sly Cooper Collection, ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.
A PS3 exclusive HD Prince of Persia Trilogy was also announced by Ubisoft earlier this month, while a Splinter Cell Collection is rumoured to be in the works too.
