THQ will announce a major motion picture based on Saint's Row next month, the company has reaffirmed.
Speaking to Gamasutra, CEO Brian Farrell confirmed the publisher will unveil the movie project in December - most likely at the Spike VGA Awards - and reiterated that the plan is to release it alongside the upcoming third game in the series.
"I can't speak for the people in Hollywood. [But] this builds our brand at no cost to us," he said.
Back at E3, core games boss Danny Bilson said the publisher's working with a 'major' filmmaker to head up the gangster flick.
"What we have coming on Saints Row - and we'll announce it in December - is the most robust transmedia play on any game ever done," he said.
"We will have a movie with a major filmmaker that will be tied to our content and we will be ideally day-and-date with that movie."
Farrell recently revealed that Saints Row 3 is set to keep the series' trademark "outrageous and over the top fun".
