Sony's issued a statement following the release of a homebrew application that allegedly allows PS3 jailbreak users to fraudulently unlock Trophies.
A company spokesperson told CVG it's looking into the development and will look to fix issues for hacking in general via network updates.
"
We are aware of this, and are currently looking into it," an SCEE spokesperson told CVG. "We will fix the issues through network updates, but because this is a security issue, we are not able to provide you with any more details."
The homebrew application allegedly allowing PS3 users who have modified their console to unlock all Trophies in a PS3 title instantly and automatically, with random timestamps.
It's the latest development following news that PlayStation 3 had been hacked completely and, allegedly, irreversibly by George 'Geohot' Hotz at the beginning of the month.
