Activision's confirmed the launch of a new company tasked with building "digital content" for the Call of Duty series.
'Beachhead' will create a "digital platform" for the record-breaking shooter series, Activision said during its earnings call tonight.
"Beachhead will create a best in class digital experience for Call of Duty," the publisher said, adding that it will bring "increased value" for the community.
Analysts have predicted Call of Duty multiplayer will get a subscription based "second tier" within months - this might be it.
