I was shopping in town and popped into Game on Saturday and they had a bod with a sample console walking around showing it off.

I had a look thinking it wouldn't be up to much and probably wouldn't work for me (I don't know what I thought this just had a feeling based on some films etc...).

The game in the sample console was Pilotwings and the game looked very nice excpet for the fact that I couldn't really see anything. It was all a blur. I had started with the 3D slider all the way up and it had gone past the point that my eyes could see it comfortably. I put the 3D slider down to about half way and BOOM! AMAZING!

It didn't have things flying out at you (for which I was glad) but the perspective and depth was amazing. It felt like I was looking through a window into a box that was 6 feet long with stuff flying around inside it! The graphics were pretty sharp also and the control was fairly good but that wasn't what I was there to look at. It looked like a higher than DS quality game (in fact I would place the graphics above the N64 but I didn't have too much to go on).

If I had the money to burn I would buy it with no question and it would be worth the money. The stereoscopic camera was also very good and the images created by it also had the depth slider which went from flat (i.e. no 3D) to too much (for me) 3D. A big but though is that the camera is VERY low quality. Maybe 3rd of 4th gen mobile phone camera. 1.3MP ish and very grainy.

Definitely worth a look if you are in the market for a portable gaming device.
