Around 9pm last night I happened to notice Portal 2 was unlocked and available to play. I thought I'd give it a bash for a couple of hours before I went to bed...only to go on and complete it in one sitting because of how freakin' awesome it was. Anyone else played yet? I loved it.

I really really want to play it but I've got far too many games on the go right now.

I'm still waiting for mine to arrive in the post Now it's going to be Saturday at the earliest and if I want to play it I'll have to come pick it up from work.

Started playing last night thinking I'd be able to get through it (having played Portal 1 in a couple of hours).
4 hours later I was still playing!
Soooo many twists and turns! It's epic! I love it!
I've just encountered the red paint and I'm currently running around with a thing on the end of the gun (trying not to give any spoilers).
The puzzles are brilliant also and require a hell of a lot of thinking for some of them.

OK, I'm stuck to death on it now.
I'm in a room with a blue swirly light thingy near the ceiling and a pad that turns it into an orange swirly light thingy.
Across the room there is a button that triggers a blue paint dispenser but it only lasts about 5 seconds.
There is another switch that opens a panel in the wall but that's behind a glass wall with 3 turrets pointing straight at it. If I try to run to it I'm dead.
Thank frack for that!
Done it!

Ok, genuine question -ive been looking at some screenshots, why does the 360 version look inferior to the PS3 version, I thought the two consoles were supposed to be graphically equal?

Because Valve has discovered the wonders of PSN (before the hack) and invested in that version. The PS3 version is treated by Valve as the same as the PC/Mac version in terms of patches, multiplayer and license. If you buy it on PS3, you get a code for the PC/Mac version too. Earn achievements on the PS3 and they are applied to your Steam account. Quite neat really.

And yet they released L4D and L4D2 for the 360 and not the PS3?

Just finished the SP game and I think the ending was... stupendous. Not only was the boss fight almost unique in that it was just tough enough - rather than being ludicrously tricky for the sake of it - but also at times funny (it's a pity you don't get longer to listen to the corrupt cores dialog to be honest) and the final action one where you think 'oh yeah, that's why they said that earlier on' when you figure out what to do, the 'end sequence' is just.. well... I'm speechless, basically.

I agree completely. My thought process at the end went something like... Sh*t I'm going to die! I can't move What did I do wrong What...? No, they can't have done that! Seriously? Ok here goes... Frickin genius!

Left4Dead 2 was a 2009 release, Portal 2 is a 2011 release. Its a long time for opinions to change. It was also before the UI update and the port to MacOSX. This sums it up, just about - Clicky
