When I play FPSs I've always found that being thrown in at the deep end was the best way to go, though I'm sure rage quitting and profit are big considerations

I think it's quite a nice touch. Gears, although having the appearance of being "chainsaw rush to face" arcade, it actually rather tactical. It's got a very nice element of being somewhat slow paced in between conflict (i.e. not so much run and gun but more tactical play), especially with regards to control over some of the weapon spawns and how a Shotgun flank can be absolutely devstating to a team. Again, a lot of bit-tech's was full of "Console Kiddies need moar help!1!!1 one one etc. etc." stupid PC Elitist talk... |
