IMO it was still far better than the POS MW3 is. I still hate it. The biggest bugbear is audio. MW2 and MW3 had major problems with headsets. Treyarch had a few issues but nowhere near the severity.

I've only ever used the official Sony BT headset and headphones in my time... I couldn't believe not one of the major games publications had the balls to say Activision had just re-released MW1 again with MW3* - at least some effort went into MW2!
There's any number of 'noobs' (don't mean that in a derogatory sense) on Ops. these days, and I suspect that's partly because MW3 sent them backwards...
* And with truly atrocious maps, another MW1 rehash in a way.
