Shall we edit the title and just call it the BLOPS 2 thread or similar? Here's the different editions of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... qQtCsR8-6I

Done. They lost me with the coins I'll be renting the game first for the single player since the MP will inevitably be bug-ridden for months

I'm still deciding whether to bother buying it or not. I am fed up with MW3. MW2 was awesome. BLOPS was pretty good and had new features. I liked it over and above MW2. I felt MW2 MP was more run'n'gun. BLOPS felt more measured. I was more likely to take care before stepping out around a corner. I was more likely to cover a spot because I knew something was going to happen. MW3 went back to run'n'gun but was a lot less fun.

+1, BLOPS 2 sounds like they're gonna over-complicate things like MW3

Black Ops 2: Think you know Call of Duty multiplayer? Think again http://www.computerandvideogames.com/36 ... top_bannerI can see MP deathmatch being an absolute bollocks if too many people are running around with a weird load-out, especially parties

Has anyone seen/heard about supermarkets doing special offers on this? I'm most likely to pick this up on the day rather than queueing up at midnight.

£34 @ Asda allegedly, no idea of Tesco price, but supposedly you can get it for £25 there if you buy £25 PSN credit.

Yup spotted the deal on hotukdeals but was gonna go check it out in person. Given that you have to pay for additional maps which is typically £12 a go, that's the same as two lots of DLC and getting the game for £25. Apparently this was the same tesco offer for mw3.
What some people have found was that last time, the points cards had run out so the offer was no longer available. Some people have asked and found if you buy a points card now, you can show it + receipt on tues and pick up the game on £25. Some stores have said no to this and users have suggested getting a refund on the points card and buyin it again. Others suggested picking up a points card and then hiding it in-store, then going back on tues and pickin up the points card + game.
Asda's offer of £34 sounds reasonable. The local asda to me is 24 hour but the tescos is not. Either way I plan to leave the house a little earlier eg 7am and then having a look. No way am I queueing up at midnight.

I'm bloody considering it now since I can always use the credit and could easily flog the game for more than I paid
