I bought Crysis 2 recently, but haven't managed to play it yet. It installs and updates ok, but falls on it's ar$e when I enter the serial code, claiming it's invalid. This was a brand new, sealed, game. I'm thinking this is one of those horrible EA Origin fcuk-ups, and I've raised a case. Christ knows how long it'll take for them to respond. |

Now you know me Dave, I somtimes take the pi$$ but I'm not here: Did it come with bonus content, are you entering that code or the one on the back of the manual? (presuming it's a hard copy) |

You? Naw, I'm not having that! ![]()
Yup, hard copy, brand new and still shrink wrapped. I entered the code from the back of the manual, there are no other codes present. The code registered OK with Origin (eventually), but still fell on it's ar$e when it asked me to enter it prior to playing. I've raised a case with EA, and I'll let them sort it out; which likely means I won't be playing it this side of October. |

I think a few people have had this issue. I presume your Origin client is uptodate. Hey ho, no help from me then. No change there then. ![]() |

EA sent out a new CD key! Spent a few hours yesterday killing Cell troopers and Ceph aliens at 2560x1600 in DX11 ultra textures ![]() |

Cool. To be fair from what I've read they're pretty good with that sort of thing when they get around to it.

I had to scan a copy of the disc, the manual cover (showing the serial key) and a signed and dated scan of the receipt; uploaded it all to the query page and they fired it back the next day! I'm fairly impressed, considering most people don't have anything nice to say about EA.

To be fair, I have never had a problem with EA, even with origins (a poor mans steam) it has even recognized the fact I own C&C 4 and begs me to download it and I think I registered it through steam. |

Similar. I had bought an EA game on the Mac - Dragon Age 2 I think it was (I know, I'd enjoyed the first one so..) - and when I installed Origin on my Windows box it recognised I had a licence for DA2 and let me download it for free. Which was nice. |

Spreadie, what were you to do if you didn't have a scanner? |
