I keep the black mesa link pinned to my shortcut bar, and click it every couple of days, looking for updates. It was a very pleasant surprise to get this instead of the normal news page. ![]() |

cant wait for this. i tried playing the original Half Life a few years ago, but was knobbled about 5 minutes in by the lack of auto-save. ive been spoilt by gaming modcons ![]() |

I got as far as the intro's core meltdown (I don't think I need a spoiler alert for HL1!) then got bored - because, well, it's "just" HL1 - and I've played it - I thought it was going to be a new game - not "just" a "prettier" version.... and the Source engine is clearly showing it's age - I don't feel compelled to play through the rest. I might, if I'm chronically bored of running around Africa with a Dragunov + Molotov, but that's not going to get tired anytime soon. |
