There was the "banana pad" that was supposed to launch with the ps3 iirc. Then there was the patent for a modular game pad that would integrate with Move.
What I don't like about the current DS is the location of the analogue sticks - needs to allow the thumb to be more neutral; the trigger buttons need more purchase as pcernie has mentioned; the analogue sticks need more grip (I have bought rubber covers to grip better); and they need to fix the analogue buttons (knifing someone from a distance when you were trying ro aim/run is crap).
I don't see any point in having a touchpad or screen on the controller. When I play games, I want to keep my eyes on the screen and not have to look at what button is where or get distracted by a UAV map showing on the controller or similar.
I would argue that the main arms/grips of the controller need to be angled away from each other eg have the middle bit curved. This would bring the thumbs further out to the edges.

I use this after getting pissed off with the triggers and sticks: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PS3-Controller- ... 122&sr=1-1I didn't realise how much better the handle grips made playing though, couldn't go back now.

Slight indent and four dots here , though I've got multiple grips lying about.

It's actually fairly rubbish. Playback is reasonable but the interface is god-awful.

Will it play back in a better quality? I tried watching Dirty Laundry on the PS3 and it was horrendous in terms of quality esp on an HD telly.

Using the phone as a remote sounds like it should work really well in that situation:

I do this already with my WDTV Live box. I can stream youtube from my iPhone to the TV via the WDTV Live box. I can of course just use the youtube app on the WDTV Live box and then use the Roomie app on my iPhone to control it.

The beauty of this is that you can browse on the phone without upsetting the video. Can you can do that with streaming?

Yup. Just doing it now. Posting this whilst it's streaming Dirty laundry in HD.
From my iPhone, I don't use the youtube app but I use the website youtube.com/pair and go from there. If I play games or use another browser window, it's fine. If I close the browser window, it stops working.

Skyrim DLC: Dragonborn hits PS3 in Europe today with 50% discount http://www.computerandvideogames.com/39 ... -discount/And there's actually a half-decent sale on if you've missed a few games recentlyhttp://www.computerandvideogames.com/39 ... r-pound10/I bought the dirt cheap Darksiders 2 DLC I definitely recommend the first game at that price, there's probably still a demo too. It's like an uber-violent Zelda...
