Well for me it has to be GTA San Andreas. It was the game that gripped my imagination for around 2 months.Brilliant 5/5Screens

I keep going back to Starcraft although that has more to do with the incredible amount of support Blizzard provide for it. I bought it to play on my old Power Mac G3 and it's been continual updated to keep it compatible, first with OS X and IIRC they also released a Universal Binary for it so Intel Mac suers could carry on playing.
Also was a huge fan of Civilization 2 and Alpha Centauri.

Star Trek: Birth of the Federation, I've been playing it on and off (for months at a time) since release, that's about 10 years.

I'd still have to say either Halo 2 or F.E.A.R. Not the second FEAR though. Was crap compared to the first one, although it was still a good game. Brad, I think you'll like Star Trek Elite Force 2. I have a disc somewhere here with it on, i'll have to find it. Its really fun to play.

Best Game ever.. mmm RPG: BG2 (Godfather principle.. a sequel better than the original). Replaying it and soon to go to the underdark RTS: Command & Conquer: almost cost me my degree FPS: Doom (not the first but defined the genre) but for me the best game ever has to be "sword of Aragon" a game written in MS Quickbasic and released in 1989 so its 20 years old by SSI. A turn based strategy game that had something so many games lack today.. playability!!!

Starcraft (still) Warcraft 3 (still)
I dont see how a best game can hold you imagination for 2 months.... I have been playing both the above for 6 years... you might say I need to move on... but warcraft 3 has massive online capabilities and starcraft is immense.
Why move on from perfection?

Six years? Pah, that's nothing....I've been playing CS for 9 years, and still going strong; about 8 hours a week, minimum! You can't ever beat CS as a game, all the time new players are coming along and you're adapting to how they play the maps and use the weapons. The community built up around CS is the best of any online game I have played, and believe me....I've played most of 'em!
