It is interesting how they develop. So much must be down to the power of processing.

Agree with most of them, although I'd argue cutscenes really should only count if done using in-game animation. Spooling pre-rendered CGI off the DVD/BR really doesn't have much to do with 'game graphics' at all.

Lara hasn't aged well recently. That last one maybe too detailed - it's not flattering!

Yes but that's the nature of games, amazing she has no scars even if she has seemingly aged badly. I did like the first Myst images 20 years ago.

I remember playing Myst when it came out. A friend had it. It was very pretty and the music was atmospheric, but I honestly thought it was as boring as f....

Still, it was ground breaking at the time and the fact we still remember it says a lot. Remember that was in the days when a dual-speed CD and 8 bit Sound Blaster was the latest tech!

Yes but many games were boring. I never really played Myst because I was never into such games, but you can see the impact it had on the development of world of warcraft. Yes and that sound blaster sound was incredible when you compared it to the onboard speakers.

Exactly my impression of it. I never did get into it.

I bought my first Soundblaster and Dual Speed CD-ROM on the same day, along with a little Canon ink jet printer. :)

I've often found that if the graphics are great the game itself is lacking (Uncharted being the exception that springs to mind).
