Seems like a waste of time.

It's really popular for reasons I can't fathom :|

That was why I thought it was a waste of time. Showing clips of games might suit developers and potential buyers but who else?

Well, why not. Look how many hits the Youtube videos get. Some people can't get enough.

The only in-game video I watch is either funny stuff (like that guy shooting an arrow in the air in Skyrim which hits the preacher a minute later) or novel and inspiring stuff like interesting Minecraft builds. Oh, and ridiculously pretty stuff like that MLP skin of the dragons, in Skyrim again. Oh, and incredible run-throughs like finishing the entirety of Doom in 45 seconds. And sometimes tips and cheats, or unusual finds in things like Zelda and FFVII. And new DLC I've not seen before, and that epic battle in Eve Online. Of course, previously unreleased stuff is always interesting too. And bits of classic old games that totally left you by, like Shenmue, Flower. I've also been known to watch DDR contests.

But that's all really.

Was any of the above even released on the 360?

Those sorts of clips can be amusing or useful, like how to get through a level. I do agree about the unreleased games, it becomes a form of marketing for developers. I will confess to watching star craft battles to realise how pathetic a player I am. Though this can all be found on YouTube AFAIK.
