Well I'm now 30, still not married and earn a bit more than £23k.

TBH, I have noticed more mature gamers on CoD esp on BLOPS1/2, and you can have a reasonable conversation with them instead of having to listen to (and mute) a bunch of prepubescent kids ranting and raving.

It was interesting that the games was cited as a cause of domestic disputes. Well I guess that being down the pub with his or her mates is not such a bad thing now? /s The fact that they know where they are and what they are doing is an irrelevance now. What would they prefer a gaming partner or pub partner?

funny you should say that. One of my friends uses his PSN solely for chatting to us because he's in the army and stationed overseas. Hence it gives him a chance to catch up with his friends and he treats it as his modern equivalent of a pub.

It is also probably cheaper than ringing you all. My original point was that if he were in a real pub he could be spending £20 plus a night and flirting with bar maids or other female customers. If at home he would not be spending that much extra money and not flirting with women. Plus she can see him if necessary.
