http://www.computerandvideogames.com/42 ... imidating/ She's right, but the honest truth is your game needs to be selling in the millions for it to work at all. Most MP is just tacked on in the hope it's the next big thing. |

I would never know as I have never played MP. ![]() The MP as a added extra does seem to be badly thought out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk. |

The only multiplayer I've ever played is CoD. Started off with MW2. This was my first proper modern day console (PS3) and with a controller (normally keyboard and mouse). So I struggled. For months. I was absolutely [LIFTED]. Until one day, it just clicked. After that, I was getting kills in the 20-30+ range. But it took 3-4 months of regular gaming before I became any good. As for abuse, I've gotten loads. Far more than friendly chat online. Which is why I tend to just mute everyone. |

The abuse is one reason why I will not bother. The fact that I am crap at working fast during the game. I doubt I would ever get to the point where it clicked for you. |

It took me ages though. We're talking 2-3 hours per night for 3-4 months minimum. The abuse is ridiculous. "Camping" and "campers" are shouted frequently but 99.9% of players don't have a clue what it really is. In the olden days of MW2, there were maps where you were at one of the map, and the enemy at the other end. Someone would use a sniper rifle and pick you off from "miles" away, before you'd even get a chance to get close. Or they'd sit in a well-hidden corner and pick people off as they ran past. Nowadays you get called it if you so much as stop behind cover to reload. The Europeans are funny in that they seem to think it's a swear word. |

I don't buy the big name FPS games any more - I'm not paying full price for a few MP maps and a 4 hour SP campaign tacked on. I gave up on MP years ago, when the servers became saturated with teenagers screaming "cheater" every 30 seconds and whining incessantly. I used to bait them (I never cheated, I was just a good shot), but even that got boring; especially when their hormones kicked in and it became a swear fest. This is as good a place as any... I do play the odd FPS, though what might be for you a 4 hour campaign takes me months. ![]() |
