So oddly, for some reason, using the same controller on the same PS3, using the same settings, riding a bike on GTA V results in my character (on my logon) constantly veer to the left, whereas my flatmate's doesn't - the difference is night and day, without touching the joystick his bike will sped along in a straight line when minnee will just crash headfirst into oncoming traffic. I've looked through the game and system menus to see if there's a way to reconfigure/calibrate the contoller, but can't seem to find anything - or simply missed it - anyone got any suggestions?

You sure your character isn't high? Lol!

I remember the first generation PS controllers (for PS1) with analogue sticks required calibrating from time to time by rotating them in their housing. I remember Gran Turismo asking for it to be done at times.

I'm not sure this is necessary now, but giving it a go when the game isn't running may be worth a try.

Are you able to borrow your friend's controller to see if it work with your machine?

The other option may be that your character just has not done enough bike time, and that will settle down the more you use bikes.

Presumably you've saved while a bug was in play, but that is a strange one! Anyone online had a similar issue?

Back in San Andreas I had a controller trim problem. It veered ever so slightly to the left and made one of the pilot licence tests so difficult I almost killed something it was so frustrating. Never noticed it on any other game (though I didn't go looking for it) so persisted with it rather than getting a new controller.

I've noticed in CoD that despite aiming down sight at centre mass and pulling the trigger, I'd somehow miss. I've since switched back to my old sixaxis controller and whilst I miss the force feedback, I'm performing much better and that includes in GTA. The rumble controller is around 6-7 years old.

Quite right - I had it turned on for all vehicle types for some reason - but only noticed it with the bikes (I simply thought I sucked at flying!)
