Proposed fixes for update 2.0...
Remove the stupid always online. Remove the stupid tiny city sizes. Done.
They've had pretty much total coverage of the top ten games for a number of years. How did they managed to f*ck up sim city so utterly completely.

At the moment the same applies to me. Not sure whether I want Origin on my macs.

I haven't bought it for those reasons. I was looking forward to the game, but they ruined it completely.

While I have my iMacs connected all the time for mail etx I do not want them expecting the same rights of access. The other problem I have with such games is that Starcraft can only be played in an admin account and so I have to log out of my main account to load any updates and play. That happens very rarely so they are annoying me like crazy with the ways these games operate. I play Civ 5 now more than ever because it only needs that initial connection to verify the authenticity of the game and I can play. I seriously doubt that games are pirated as much as the industry claims. Or that they lose out much from second hand games.

Delayed for two months which is announced three days before release, and exclusively available on a digital distribution platform that doesn't allow refunds for pre-orders. Pack of jackals.

What is wrong with game publishers? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk.

Fear and greed. Always a bad combination.

Sim City is one game that I am quite happy to pay full price for as soon as it is released. Though from what I have been hearing about the DRM I might simply give this a miss. From a publishers perspective this could be disastrous as I do not pirate any game and even if I get second hand games they are all legal, so if legal buyers are put off they are destroying their own business.

It's a shame they broke it so much. It looks like it could have been good. Did EA not learn anything from Real Racing 3?

What really surprised me is that they have had to admit that single player offline mode is important. I cannot be the only one who only plays games in offline mode? While multiplayer has benefits in some games it does not help in others.
