Massively expensive for what it is. TBH I don't recall bothering much with DLC for any of the games. I got some stuff included with the previous games because they were collector's editions. The skins didn't really impress me (I'd always revert to the standard one), and playing as other characters was marginally entertaining at best.

http://www.gamesradar.com/limited-editi ... t-test-us/So there's a Batman PS4. If anything will swerve me to buying a PS4, it'll be this. http://www.gamesradar.com/batman-arkham ... -preorder/Different pre-order options but PS4 appears to be the best. Honestly, I was planning on buying this on PC. I couldn't be bothered with buying a PS4, especially not just for one game. Even if it is Arkham Knight. I really wanted a collectors edition but can't seem to get hold of one for love nor money. Esp a PC version.

I think this is the one I'm getting (it was pre-ordered months ago and they keep changing it!) http://www.tesco.com/direct/batman-arkh ... d=147-1299The DLC's rubbish, but I'll likely be buying the season pass or individual stuff once they get real with their laughable pricing anyway. The silicone cover etc is a bonus since I'm boosting my Tesco points to essentially get the game free. Mate I wouldn't bother with that PS4 - the bargains thread has a PS4 for £250, and there's already decent skins available from what I gather. EDIT - If you do get a system and game seperate, that Tesco game pack would be worth it - you really will wanna cover the controller's stupid LED and add cover grips at least.

Batman: Arkham Knight's Red Hood pre-order bonus looks killer | GamesRadar http://www.gamesradar.com/batman-arkham ... d-trailer/The chance to use a gun if it was kinda free-flowing would be good in an Arkham game.

Arkham Knight collector's edition is Bat-cancelledhttp://www.gamesradar.com/arkham-knight ... cancelled/ | | | | Quote: Well, this is a new one. According to a report on Kotaku, Warner Bros. Interactive has flat-out cancelled the collector's edition of Batman: Arkham Knight, a mere six days before release. Retailers across the United States, Europe, and Australia are sending out apology emails en masse.
The $200/£170 collector's edition would've come with a variety of goodies, including a transforming replica of the Batmobile, but unfortunately, quality concerns with the famous Bat-car have forced WB to reevaluate its release. Rather than just dropping the Batmobile and lowering the price, the publisher has simply decided to cancel the thing entirely.
According to statement from Warner, anyone affected by the cancellation will receive a New 52 DLC skin pack, free of charge. Of course, you'll be able to refund your money completely or apply it to a different version of the game if you like. It's no transforming Batmobile, but hey, at least you won't have wasted your money on a broken collectible. | | | | |
Disappointed since I would definitely gone for this. Even if I didn't have a PS4.

Batman: Arkham Knight review | GamesRadar http://www.gamesradar.com/batman-arkham-knight-review/Mixed bag then, at least IMO. It's becoming clear to me that each game should have focused on a given play style Asylum - Close combat and sneaking with a focus on story, which is why it's my favourite. City - Closer to GTA, sprawling, since it didn't have a good storyline to back it up. Origins - Go back to the Asylum style with the villain B list (no Joker ffs) and give them a proper story since you can really do whatever you like there. Don't just go down the 'toys to sell' route. Knight - The car should be integral to the story if it's to be included at all; it's one giant diversion from everything previous. Again, don't be throwing the villains' kitchen sink at the story, and especially if you've already got the car. The team-up thing... I'd have Bats sending out the entire family as part of the playable story. Like the films, you've either got stonking action sequences with the heroes or the villains are having a field day, but you can't afford both without a lengthier production schedule.

'Batman: Arkham Knight' Has Big Problems On Xbox & PC http://sciencefiction.com/2015/06/23/ba ... s-xbox-pc/It's usually the PS systems that are dire. I'm playing it later tonight (6 hours patch download last night). I'm seriously considering selling all my kit though; I'm fcuking sick of how we're getting treated by the games companies - even the tech sites don't really bother doing articles about how bad it's gotten any more, the BS is that commonplace.

That's very rubbish and reinforces my thoughts about holding off purchasing it for a while. Please let us know how gameplay is. It's Rocksteady, not Montreal so I expect it to be excellent.

Will do. So far I've only really started. The Batmobile's more of a pain than anything else. The way they've tried to use it is good, it's the execution that lets them down. It's really annoying when a standard mission requires multiple fcuk-ups with the car beforehand. The graphics are brilliant and there's a decent sense of atmosphere so far. A lot feels very played out at this point of course. I'm dying to go back to it just to get further in. Initial thoughts are that the car is holding it back. I can't even tell if it's quicker to glide than drive, but I prefer to glide across like 600m, so...

I loved gliding and it was one of the strongest points of Arkham City over Arkham Asylum. I hated the load screens for Origins and the way the city was didn't make it friendly to glide (that damn bridge). I read the gamesradar review and in some ways it was disappointing to have so much emphasis on the Batmobile - I can see why - they had to justify its existence and use.

The car should have been just an extra, it takes away instead of adding, so far. It cannibalises the gliding which so much work obviously went into and is more useful long term.

http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/wa ... se-1297679Looks like they've pulled the PC version. Apparently Xbone doesnt have the same issues? You probably won't find out till later in the game, but do they have Batmobile challenges the way they had the augmented reality ones for gliding?
