And once again the paying public get treated like sh1t when it comes to video games. Even more galling when you consider the hoops you'd have to jump through to 'return' it.

Oh, and that MK collection they mention really is dodgy :evil:

Don't virtually all new release now come out with fairly major bugs these days? Maybe with a launch day patch to go along with them.
The assumption (and indeed effective requirement) for always on reasonably fast internet seems to have made game developers somewhat lazier than they used to be about getting a fully functioning product out the door (although in fairness games are much more complex now than they used to be so maybe the effort level haven't changed much but neither have the deadlines).

I can appreciate that it's virtually impossible to test every possible hardware combination for the release of a PC version of a game but surely the point about consoles is you have a locked down hardware spec to develop for and you also shouldn't have too many worries about the console OS either (although I'm less sure about that part).
