Not impressed if I'm honest, it has no UMD slot and having seen the prices for PSP games on PSN, I don't plan to buy any. The UMD's can be sold on when you are finished with them, but you are stuck with a download. You can buy UMD games for next to nothing in Tesco or Game and you can also buy a 16gb memory stick, so you get the same benefits with none of the drawbacks.

According to reviews the controls are even more uncomfortable than the current PSP...

+1. The PSP 3000 is a far superior machine both in technical ability (UMD slot) and design IMO.

Saw it ages ago, it may be OK for size but I need to see what software they give you to copy your existing UMD's first.

My 1000 still boots most games off flash anyway (backups of my own games for battery saving reasons only)

Rumour was you could go into a game shop, hand in (or surrender) the games then you get a code to download it from the PSN

Such a faff with nothing extra in it for the customer tbh

I’m sticking with my first gen PSP. I really like it, after ignoring it for about a year or so. I’m looking forward to Little Big Planet and GT

+1. I properly can't wait. :D

I'm happy with my jap import 1000tbh. It was one of the very first psps that came here, and now it's running 3.71 OE-A (custom firmware) I'm more than happy with it. Although it does give me cramps after a bit in my thumb, but thats due to the metal content in it. :)

I must admit though, I thought that Sony had forgotten about the PSP, as there weren't any new games for ages for it, but they were coming out like wild fire for the PS3. :(

That's because the PS3 is made of win. There's no doubt who wears the trousers in the PS3-PSP relationship in my house. ;)
