I originally played it on the Amiga but later on the PC. Graphics were a simple side scrolling affair. You start a level by chosing an aeroplane (sometimes a helicopter) from a big choice and attempt a mission. Could be rescuce something, shoot something down, fly through the mountain tunnel, etc etc. You take off from a runway and have to land back in the same place to complete the mission. Anyone remember? |

Found it! After much searching and false starts (Wings of Fury on CPC64 and Amiga was a red herring) Retro Gamer came to my rescue via Google. The game was Jetstrike. Now I just need to work out how to play it again. Amiga emulator? DOS version? Buy a CD32 off eBay?

I downloaded DosBox and a free (so it says) copy of the game last night. Havent tried setting up DosBox yet but I'll have a go over the weekend. |
